Sonoralope are garantuan, jackalopes. Their bodies are composed of various species of cacti, which range from pale to dark green in colour. They have finer coatings of needles on their leafy ears and chests, whereas their torsos and feet have larger, pink thorns. They are triangular in shape. What appear to be whiskers on Sonoralope's face are also thorns: they are truly prepared for an attack from any direction.
Sonoralope have antlers sprouting on their heads. They can be seen in varying stages of flowering depending upon the time of year. Closer to monsoon season, Sonoralope's antlers will burst into full bloom. Snoralope have hollow tails. This is notable because occasionally, another Pokémon will take residence in it.
Gender Differences[]
Sonoralope have no gender differences.
Behavior[]
Sonoralope are rarely aggressive to Pokémon they perceive as non-threatening. Smaller Pokémon often live on or around Sonoralope for shade, food, and protection. This is a mutually beneficial relationship. But, when threatened, Sonoralope will lash out with fierce kicks. Their thorns leave cuts that quickly become infected if left untreated, and the power of their kicks can break solid rock.
There have been countless reports of Sonoralope offering lost humans water, or leading them to food. Until recently, this was rarely believed. Because Sonoralope come out more often at night, they are rarely seen by humans. In the daytime, they are more likely to be confused for a cluster of cacti by passing trainers. Thus, Sonoralope were more commonly believed to be desert mirages seen by dehydrated humans.
Habitat[]
Sonoralope live in the desert, but area rarely seen. They live among clusters of cacti, where they remain camouflaged. Alternatively, they burrow deep in the sand, where they can escape the oppressive heat of the day.
