Mimectar have two forms, bearing a strong resemblance to a sunflower. Mimectar's Disguised Form has limited movement, this is because it remains rooted to the ground. Much like a real sunflower, Mimectar turn their heads 360° to follow the sun. If Mimectar has eaten, the stem near its base will be wider than the rest of its body. Both forms of Mimectar have two leaves growing out of the sides; Mimectar use them to attack foes, as they can become razor sharp.
In their Busted Form, Mimectar uproot themselves to attack. The flower face of Mimectar is actually a decoy, with their real mouth opening from the side. Mimectar have long tongues and serpentine fangs. It is unknown whether or not the eyes on Mimectar's face are genuine, or mere decoys.
Gender Differences[]
Mimectar have no gender differences.
Behavior[]
Mimectar spend most of their days rooted to one spot in their Disguised Form. In order to sustain themselves, they will photosynthesize. When unsuspecting Pokémon approach Mimectar, or, if they are attacked, Mimectar's true form will emerge.
Mimectar have been known to attack humans, no matter their age or size. They have not been known to do much damage, beyond bites, which will become infected if left untreated. Nevertheless, Mimectar are considered a pest, weed, and danger by most of Vereshad's municipalities. There are organizations who remove Mimectar from more populous areas of the region to the wild in order to keep the population under control.
Domesticated Mimectar, cannot effectively disguise themselves outside of their natural habitat. They are still known to remain in their Disguised Form anyways. This is because it takes less energy to keep stationary. Domesticated Mimectar are considered less pesty than their wild counterparts. They still enjoy eating their trainer's food supply, as well as non-edible things like keys and Poké Balls.
Habitat[]
Wherever there are sunflowers, Mimectar can be found. Wild sunflowers are commonly found along Vereshad's more open field routes, where many trainers and Pokémon pass by.
