Kankombat (Japanese: マスタピオ Masutapial) is a dual-type Fighting/Ground Pokémon.

It evolves from Marsupunch starting at level 36. It is the final form of Boxeroo.

Along with Tarotoad and Mangetsu, Kankombat is one of the final forms of the starter Pokémon given to you by Professor Sakura.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Kankombat are large, kangaroo-esque Pokémon, light brown in colour. Taller than the average human, Kankombat can bounce on their tails to deliver powerful kicks with their legs. Kankombat have white muzzles. Similar-coloured tufts of fur form a ring around their shoulders and forehead. There are red marking around their eyes and stomachs. Kankombat have red belts and boxing gloves. Very few have seen what Boxeroo have underneath their gloves. X-ray scans cannot penetrate the mysterious material that they are constructed from. And, as Kankombat are very protective of their gloves, they refuse to allow anyone to study them.

Gender Differences[]

Kankombat have no gender differences.

Behavior[]

Despite each Pokémon's varying personality, Kankombat all have one thing in common: they enjoy seeking fights. Kankombat will take on nearly any opponent, even those they have a serious disadvantage against. Kankombat also have strong protective spirits; they will fight to protect members of their family and Pokémon they perceive as weaker than them. Due to this, Kankombat are popular among some criminal elements as bodyguards. They will not question the orders of someone they believe they should protect, and come with the additional benefit of not needing to be paid. Kankombat will not tolerate poor treatment, however, which is perhaps the single things deterring all the criminals of Vereshad from training one.

Habitat[]

Kankombat are not native to the Vereshad region. It is hypothesized that they prefer to make their homes in open grassy plains. There, they have plenty of room to spar with opponents uninhibited by the terrain.

Game Data[]

Pokédex Entry[]

Pokédex entry
Kankombat are intimidating in stature, standing far taller than the average human grows. So, while it is dangerous to get on the wrong side of a Kankombat, it's quite easy to see them coming.
